You can plan a presentation, prepare a PowerPoint, memorize the whole damn thing but you NEVER can prepare for the magic which organically forms when the audience

gets involved. A few weeks ago I spoke to the sales teams at Trunk Club, a company creating the ultimate personal clothing experience. I delivered 11 Sales & Lifestyle Mantras to the group. It wasn’t until Mantra 9: Replicate Your Successes that incredible wisdom was brought forth creating true inspiration.
Mantra 9 is all about considering your biggest wins and recognizing what was different about your approach. Stop right now – think about your most recent successful project. What did you do differently that made it a success? Perhaps you asked different questions or involved a different stakeholder. Maybe you tried a different approach of some kind? It is too often we complete a big project but do not stop to reflect on why it worked this time.
I threw it out there unsure if a brave soul would step up to the plate. Sure enough story after story! Inspiring me and the whole group! One sales person stepped completely outside of the box and shared her approach of visiting with a client for a “closet refresh” resulting in a $15k sale. Wow! Her unique twist resulted in a big win. Another sales person was approached by a client getting married in a few months and ended up outfitting all of the groomsmen for the wedding by positioning herself as the “one stop shop” for all of his needs.
What a solid reminder to stop and ask “Am I operating in robot mode expecting a different result?”. I hope this post inpires you to try something new and results in big success!
Peace, Love, Sales,
Nadene
