It’s Q4. Prime friggin‘ time to sell more stuff! Here is the Peace Love Sales 5 ways to maximize Q4 to make sure you are buying extra fancy holiday presents this year:
1. Use it or Lose It, Mista or Sista!
Many budgets do not roll over into the following year. Meaning, if the budget money is not spent in 2011, it’s gone. Ask your customers if their budget for projects is use it or lose it. Most likely they will funds to use up in December.
2. Quit the Banker Hours
8am – 5pm is so 80s’. Put in the extra time now to make sure your year ends with a bang! I’m not talking about 5:30pm- I’m talking about staying until the job is done and you are set up for the next day. Why work on time-consuming quotes during prime calling time? Save it for after 5pm. You will sell more. Duh.
3. Make Your Own Promotion
Who says a promotion has to come in a fancy package? Make your own! Free shipping on your next 3 orders or upgrade the shipping and charge for Ground freight. Show pricing for Q4 and for Q1 2012. Throw in a little something extra to give your customers the incentive to act now.
4. No budget left? Talk 2012
Your customers have their own wish lists. No, it’s not an iPad or Gucci handbag. I’m talking about their budget items for next year. Ask your client’s top 3 “wish list” items they included for the budget for next year. Make a note to follow up in January to see if it was approved.
5. Hanukkah Harry or Santa Claus- Get in the Spirit!
