Don’t get WASTED today! Cure unproductive days.

What’s the worst thing that could happen to you today?

“I lose this huge deal.”

“My girlfriend/boyfriend breaks up with me.”

“My job re-locates me.”

Those would all suck, but, it’s not the WORST thing because you would learn from those experiences and ultimately grow stronger.

The WORST thing that can happen to you today is NOTHING. Meaning, your day is wasted.

Waking up, getting to work and taking the day as it comes without clear objectives means your day can potentially be a complete waste of a day! A WOAD, if you will.

  • Defining tasks and checking them off, whether big or small, gives your days meaning and gives YOU purpose. In turn, these checks off the list give you the confidence to accomplish more and bigger tasks.

Get FRESH with yourself: Did you go into today with 1-3 defined tasks to accomplish?

Here is how to get started giving your days purpose:

  1. Write down 1-3 tasks you can accomplish TODAY and check them off as you complete the task. Ex) Call Susan and set up an appointment for next week, attend noon yoga class, make Doctor’s appointment for April, send Evite for birthday party, you get it.
  2. Do not set Outlook or any other electronic reminder. It must be written or it won’t work. Do not pile on more than 3 objective’s per day.
  3. Do 1 thing with all your effort. If your work day completely blows and you are totally unproductive and unmotivated, make sure you do 1 thing with purpose. This could be running on the treadmill after work, reading a new book, or even doing laundry- just make sure you do that 1 thing to the very BEST of our ability. Give it your all and make it worth your time.
  4. You go, Girl/Boy! If you can say you checked off 1-3 tasks off your list at the end of each day, give yourself some credit! Getting WASTED isn’t cool anyway.

Writing this was my final check off the list- Peace out!
